I know all of you will want the best turnout you can get at your Eagle Court of Honor. Please let us know.

Hello Scouts-
It has been a while since I have sent out an email but I have lots of information. In case you did not know we have been meeting every Tuesday at the Scout office. I have also just found out that Good Shepard will be opening back up for services starting on April 25th. I will be contacting the church and informing them that we would like to start meeting there again.
Here are some scheduled events that are coming up for the Troop.
This coming Tuesday we will be doing our Highway clean up. We will meet at the church at 5PM and start our cleanup process by 5:30PM. We will need parents to help transport the scouts out to the cleanup area. Make sure that you bring gloves. Please note that we have not done a highway cleanup in a year because of meeting restrictions. If we do not get enough help this may take us two weeks. I hope to see all Scouts participate in this. We have missed seeing a lot of you.
I have completed the 2021 recharter for our Troop and turned it in. We have 15 Scouts in the troop and I would love to see you all help with the highway cleanup and come to the amps I will be mentioning below.
I have also contacted Chris Ebert. I am planning on our Discount Cards being ready to sell by the end of April. This will take some work. We have to contact all of our sponsors for the cards, type them up and prep them. Any parent interested in helping make some please contact me by responding to this email or calling me at the number that is in my signature. If you know anyone interested in being a sponsor please ask them and let us know. I will be contacting Two Brothers Power Sports to see if they will match Rod’s Ride on Power Sports deal and also contacting 360 Nutrition to see if they will match 180 Nutrition. All suggestions are welcome. Remember every card a Scout sells for $10, $8 of it goes into their account.
I have also signed us up for summer camp to include 10 of our Scouts. If More Scouts come that will be great. Let’s get this Troop active and the participation up for the rest of this year and beyond. Summer Camp this year will be July 11-17. I would love to see all of our Scouts there. I also encourage you to look up the summer camp info and let me know which merit badges your Scouts that are attending would like to participate in.
We have a camp coming up this coming April 9th-11th. This will be our 2021 Badge-A-Thon. We missed last years. We will not be doing this at Camp this year. Scouts David and Marcus Eber’s family are letting us have are camp at their property in Independence WI. We will be meeting at the church and departing from the church for our amp out at 5:30PM on April 9th. The Scouts will be working on the merit badges that they have chosen and we are planning on some extra fun activities also. The Scouts will return to the church around 12PM Sunday April 11th. To do this we need to know how many Scouts are coming (I hope to see every Scout there). Tuesday April 6th after highway cleanup we will be prepping the trailer to be taken on the trip. Thursday the 8th the Scouts will meet at Festival Foods in the village to purchase the food needed for the trip. This has all been planned by the Scouts that have been at the past couple of meetings so if there is a Scout coming on the trip that may want or need something special please let us know right away by responding to this email or calling me at the number in my signature.
Our next Court of Honor is scheduled for May 25th. We will be having our friends of Scouting presentation, Rank advancements, merit badges presentation, a leader or two wood badge beading and our silent auction to help Scouts who need it.
For those of you have not heard we have two new Eagle Scouts in Troop 22.

Please let me know right away the following”

Scouts,
We just had an exciting event presented to us. I need to know how many Scouts are interested in participating in the event I will be mentioning below. If you are interested please make sure you comment below. This is for adults also so please put your name below also.
The event would start on a Saturday at 4PM and run overnight as a lock in. It would take place at 360 Nutrition owned by Rolan Covert Who is Trenton’s father. We would work on ranks, meritbadges and even have a movie and popcorn. We would complete the event with breakfast in the morning. This will be a super opportunity for the older Life and Eagle Scouts to help the younger Scouts with rank advancements.
This would be a great event for all of us.
I would also like to thank Rolan A Covert for this great idea and opportunity.

It has come to my attention that a memeber of Troop 22 has tested positive for Covid 19. I am letting you know that you have nothing to worry about since this Scout and almost no other Scouts were at the meeting last week. I ask that you just keep the Troop in mind and we all hope this Scout has a speedy recovery.

So tonight is the Troops first camp out of the year. Please meet at the Good Shepard Church at 5:30PM. Pack warm close and be ready to have a lot of fun. The older Scouts are going to make sure the younger Scouts have a great time working on ranks and meritbadges. I will not be there since I am working in Madison all weekend. Our next Tuesday meeting will be at the Scout office by hixton forest at 6:30pm. This will be our OCTOBER COURT OF HONOR. We will be handing out ranks and meritbadges. This will be indoors. Please wear a mask or neck gator. This is a time or the Scouts to celebrate thier achievements with their Tamily and Troop. We will even try and get our new trailer there so you can check it out. scouts that means keep it nice and tidy this weekend during the camp out. If anyone has anything lying around they would like to bring and donate for our silent auction that would be great also. A snack for 12 to be put at the snack table is also greatly appreciated. I can not wait to see you all there.

Hello Scouts-
I am letting everyone know that we will be meeting at 180 Nutrition located at 1241 Badger St here in LaCrosse again tomorrow Sept. 22nd at 6:35PM.
We will be talking about and up coming camping trip that will be on Oct 17th. This means that I need a new annual health form from most of the adults and Scouts for this year. If you do not have in a health form parts A-C you will not be able to participate in the camp outs. This form can be downloaded off of the gateway area councils website or picked up at the Scout office. I have almost all of the Merit badges that need to be given to the scouts from our virtual court of honor. There are still a few that are on order that I am waiting for.
I can not wait to see you all again.
Thanks,
Jerry Valley

Hello Troop 22
Sorry if there are mispellings in this email, my computer monitor is dead and I am writing this on. My phone.
The plan for our meetings is to have our first meeting for the year on September 8th at 6:45PM outside the church. We can stay outside without masks and social distance. As it starts getting darker earlier we will move inside the church with masks and social distance. The flags will be done with all scouts standing 6 feet apart from one another. The scouts first two weeks and two weeks only will to pic thier Scout leaders and plan their event for this year. We do have Eagle projects in the work right now. Jonathan has been working on his. Dominick is in the process of finding final sponsors. Chase’s project has been approved and Vincent’s will be sent in very soon. That being said we have younger scouts that have fell behind because of us not meeting. I would like to see out Troop Scouts.plan a camping trip once to twice a month. This would give the younger scouts more learning time then just 4 hours a month to rank and complete merit badges. The camp outs would start Friday nights and we would get home late Sunday mornings. I will need help with these camp outs. We will have to have rotatio s of adult leader ship at these camp outs so it is not the same leaders everytime. We do not want to burn out our Volunteers.
They will be able to get all of the camping they need in and complete Eagle required meritbadges. Rolan Covert also has a 40 mile bicycle ride planned that we could possibly participate in. Our camping can be done at camp Decorah, Perrot Park, Goose Island or even at Chip Schillings. We can even have our Scouts bike out to Perrot Park while we drive the trailer out to the Park.
The old trailer has been sold and the shelving built in the new one so it is good to go.
We already have three new Scouts. Chase’s two younger brothers and Michael Jones so lets Show them how great Troop 22 really is.
All Scouts and Leaders will need to get me their annual health forms parts A-C as soon as possible for this new year.
Incase you have not heard. My store is closing. It’s last day is Sept 30th.
Our Leader meetings will be the second Tuesdays of each month at 6PM at the church. We can meet outside or inside with social distancing and masks.
This is the plan as of now. I would like to hear from each of you as to your thoughts on the plan and any changes that you rhink3 need to be made.
Thank you
